CA-FIRE manufactures a full line of fire hose nozzles (also called fire fighting nozzles or fire fighting guns) for municipal fire brigades, industrial fire teams, marine and offshore use, and emergency response units. Every product is built around the same engineering core — strong anodised aluminium body, DuPont™ nylon pistol grip, stainless steel spinning teeth, replaceable stainless steel strainer, and a choice of brass, stainless or aluminium ball valve.
From the small-flow QLD6.0/4III-D reel-line nozzle at 50–230 LPM, to the large-flow QLD6.0/13III-C at 350–950 LPM, to specialty piercing, chimney and dry-chemical nozzles — the range covers 18 product models in 8 categories, all with 1.5″ / 2.5″ Storz / Machino / NH / NPSH couplings. Adjustable Flow Rate Nozzle
QLD Series pistol-grip nozzle with 4–5 detent flow settings, switchable straight jet to wide fog without tools. Anodised aluminium body, SS spinning teeth, DuPont nylon grip. The everyday workhorse for municipal and industrial brigades.
Multi-Functional Nozzle
Foldable nozzle with retractable foam sleeve and optional piercing / foam / chimney tips. Switch between water, fog, Type-B foam and Type-A foam in seconds. The single nozzle that replaces a truck-bed full of equipment.
Foam Nozzles
Complete foam range: Type A air-aspirating (PQA600 / PQA Large Orifice), low-expansion (PQ2), medium-expansion (PQZ8/0.8), inline eductor nozzles (QP4/QP8/QP16) and standalone foam eductors (FE095–FE250). Built for oil tank, refinery and Class B liquid fires.
Jet & Pistol-Grip Nozzles
Traditional straight-stream branchline nozzles in brass (QZG3.5/7.5), super-lightweight aluminium-magnesium (QZG3.5/7.5DK, ≤0.58 kg), pistol-grip jet (QLD6.0/8III-E) and constant-pressure automatic (QLD6.0/8-A). Maximum reach for direct attack from a safe standoff.
Curtain & Dual-Curtain Nozzles
180° flat water curtain (W=26–32 m, H=7 m) for heat-radiation protection. Standalone water curtain, straight-stream + curtain (QZM-65), dual-curtain (QSM118-475 / QSM350-950) and assault dovetail nozzles. Protects firefighters advancing on flammable-vapour fires.
Piercing Nozzle
QCG-1 piercing nozzle with 1 m stainless steel penetration spike. Drives through walls, attic voids, container walls, vehicle bonnets and roofs to suppress hidden fires from inside. The right tool when a thermal-imaging camera tells you the fire is somewhere you cannot reach.
Marine Fire Nozzle
QLD6.0/8III-B in solid brass construction with galvanised surface treatment for harsh saltwater environments. Designed for cargo ships, tugs, port facilities and offshore platforms. SOLAS Chapter II-2-compatible specification on request.
Specialty Nozzles
Three purpose-built tools: QZW-1 chimney nozzle with 360° turning head for chandeliers and dead corners (100 LPM), QGH-5 dry chemical nozzle for oil-depot suppression (5 kg/s), and QCY65 pressure test nozzle with 0–1.6 MPa gauge for hydrant flow testing.

Where Fire Hose Nozzles Are Used
Municipal Fire Brigades
Adjustable flow nozzles with pistol grip are the standard front-line tool for structural firefighting. The detent flow control lets the operator match flow to fire size — 230 LPM for room-and-contents, 475 LPM for fully-involved compartments — without changing nozzle.
Petrochemical & Tank Farms
Class B liquid fires need foam, not water. Type A foam nozzles (PQA600 large orifice) and medium-expansion foam nozzles (PQZ8/0.8) deliver air-aspirated foam blankets that cool and seal flammable liquid surfaces. Inline eductor variants run direct from 3% / 6% foam concentrate without an external proportioner.
Marine & Offshore
Salt-water environments destroy aluminium nozzles within a few seasons. The QLD6.0/8III-B marine nozzle uses solid brass construction with galvanised surface treatment for ship engine rooms, deck stations, port firefighting and offshore platform installations under SOLAS Chapter II-2.
Industrial & Refinery Plants
Plant fire teams use large-flow QLD6.0/13III-C (350–950 LPM) for fire propulsion at process units, and dual-curtain nozzles (QSM350-950) to throw both a fire-suppression stream and a 32-metre flat water curtain that shields the advancing crew from radiant heat.
Vehicle & Hidden Fires
EV battery fires, container fires, attic voids and engine bay fires need a way to deliver water inside the void — without a hot zone entry. The QCG-1 piercing nozzle drives its 1-metre stainless steel spike through sheet metal, drywall or roofing to flood the fire compartment from the outside.
Wildland & Reel-Line Use
High-pressure hose-reel trucks and forestry fire vehicles need small-flow, light-weight nozzles. The QLD6.0/4III-D (50–230 LPM, 1″/1.5″ coupling, 1.2 kg) and the super-lightweight QZG3.5/7.5DK (≤0.58 kg, aluminium-magnesium body) are purpose-designed for these applications.
