Fire Cabinet CAD & BIM Downloads
Free DWG CAD blocks and Revit RFA families for the complete CA-FIRE fire cabinet range — SG24 fire hose cabinets and XMDDG fire extinguisher cabinets. No registration required. Plan view, elevation view, wall section details and parameterised Revit types included.
DWG files are AutoCAD-compatible 2D blocks showing plan view and front elevation for each cabinet size. Drop them directly into your floor plan or reflected ceiling plan at the specified location. Dimensions, rough opening sizes (for recessed installations), and valve centerline heights are annotated on each block.
RFA files are Revit 2020+ compatible family files with parameterised types — select the size and variant from the Revit type selector and the correct dimensions propagate automatically to schedules, sections and details. Shared parameters include cabinet width, height, depth, rough opening size, weight and NFPA class compatibility.
All files use metric dimensions (mm) as the base unit with imperial annotations included. Files are provided free of charge for use in project design — no registration, no login, no email required. If you need a custom size or a file format not listed below, email sales@ca-fire.com and we supply custom drawings within 2 business days.
SG24 Fire Hose Cabinet Range

XMDDG Fire Extinguisher Cabinet Range
CAD and Revit files for all four XMDDG sizes across three variants (recessed, outdoor weatherproof, stainless steel). For full dimensions and rough openings, see the fire extinguisher cabinet dimensions guide.

Need a Custom Size or Different Format?
The standard CAD blocks and Revit families cover the full CA-FIRE production range. If your project requires something outside the standard set, we can supply custom drawings within 2 business days:
- Custom cabinet dimensions — non-standard width, height or depth for heritage retrofits, architectural alignment or unusual equipment loads.
- Alternative file formats — IFC (for openBIM workflows), SketchUp (.skp), PDF shop drawings, or any other format your design team requires.
- Project-specific annotations — custom title block, project number, spec reference or AHJ-specific notes added to the drawing.
- Submittal packages — complete submittal document including product datasheet, material certificates, ISO 9001 certificate, shop drawings and installation details bundled in PDF format for fire protection engineer review.
Email sales@ca-fire.com with your project details and the file request. Custom drawings are provided at no additional charge for active quotations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register or provide an email to download?
No. All CAD blocks and Revit families are available for immediate download — no registration, no login, no email address required. Click the download button and the file downloads directly to your computer.
What version of Revit are the RFA files compatible with?
The family files are saved in Revit 2020 format and are forward-compatible with all newer Revit versions (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026). If you are using Revit 2019 or earlier and need a downgraded file, email sales and we provide it within 1 business day.
Are the dimensions in metric or imperial?
Both. All files use millimetres as the base dimension (matching the manufactured product) with imperial annotations included. The Revit families include both metric and imperial shared parameters so schedules display in whichever unit system your project uses.
Can I use these files in a specification or submittal package?
Yes. The files are provided for use in project design, specification and submittal documentation. You are free to place them in your drawings, export them to PDFs for submittal packages, and reference them in fire protection specifications. For a complete submittal document (datasheet + material certificates + shop drawings + ISO certificate), email sales with your project details and we prepare a formal submittal package at no additional charge.
I need a SketchUp or IFC file — can you provide that?
Not as standard downloads, but we can convert any DWG or RFA file to SketchUp (.skp), IFC, STEP or other common 3D formats on request. Email sales with the specific file format and cabinet model, and we deliver within 2 business days at no charge.
Do the Revit families include rough opening sizes for recessed installation?
Yes. The recessed variant Revit families include a reference plane showing the rough opening perimeter in dashed lines, plus a shared parameter “Rough Opening Width” and “Rough Opening Height” that appear in schedules. The surface mount variants do not include rough opening references because they do not require wall cuts. For the full rough opening table, see the dimensions guide.
