Rapid Deployment Anywhere — Lightweight Aluminium, No Base Required
The CA-FIRE PS10-80W-L Series is a portable fire water monitor (portable ground monitor) built from lightweight aluminium alloy for rapid deployment in any location without a fixed pipe base, anchor bolts or tools. Connect to a supply hose, set on the ground, aim and discharge — setup by one person in under one minute.
The series covers a full flow range from 20 L/s (PS8/20W-L) to 80 L/s (PS10/80W-L) with a maximum throw range of ≥85 m. The adjustable nozzle switches between a straight jet for maximum range and a spray cone for cooling and personnel protection. The lightweight aluminium alloy body reduces fatigue during ARFF operations, industrial emergency response and any application where the monitor must be carried, repositioned and redeployed during an active fire incident.
- Lightweight aluminium alloy body — significantly lighter than equivalent stainless steel monitors
- No fixed base, anchor bolts or tools required — stands on integral ground legs
- Full 360° horizontal rotation and –15° to +60° vertical elevation on the ground
- Connects to standard fire hose supply — deployable anywhere a hose can reach
- Adjustable nozzle: straight jet (max range ≥85 m) or spray cone (cooling / protection)
- 6 models from PS8/20W-L to PS10/80W-L — match flow rate to the incident scale
- Repositionable mid-incident — carry, relocate and redeploy as the fire front changes
4-Step Deployment — Under One Minute

Portable Ground Monitor vs Fixed Riser Monitor — When to Choose Each
- ✅ No fixed base, no pipe riser, no installation — deploy anywhere
- ✅ Repositionable mid-incident as fire front moves
- ✅ Lightweight aluminium — one person carries and sets up
- ✅ Connects to existing fire hose supply infrastructure
- ✅ ARFF, emergency response, temporary protection during construction
- ✅ Stored in vehicle or equipment locker until needed
- ⚠️ Requires attended operation — no self-lock, must be held or supervised
- ⚠️ Supply hose must reach the deployment position
- ✅ Permanently installed — always in position, always connected
- ✅ Worm-gear models self-lock aim without operator
- ✅ Higher long-term corrosion resistance (SS 304 body)
- ✅ Remote control (RCFM) option for fully unmanned operation
- ✅ Better for high-value fixed assets requiring permanent coverage
- ⚠️ Requires pipe riser, PZ base and fixed installation works
- ⚠️ Cannot be repositioned once installed
- ⚠️ Higher initial installation cost
